Increasing the confidence of students by imparting demonstration oriented education in similar subjects has led to increase in agricultural production due to the use of improved technology by motivating them to do their own farming. Agricultural Technology Diploma holders can become self-reliant by creating their own employment through agri-complementary self-employment oriented industries and thereby provide employment opportunities to others as well. Agricultural diploma holders will act as mentors to other farmers. An agricultural diploma holder can serve in the government or private sector as an agricultural assistant.

1.Students are evaluated on the basis of their performance in examinations, practical records, practical class work records and assignments/tasks.
2.The examination is held on an annual basis. Written and Practical exam are of 100 marks each.
3.The annual final theory examinations form the external evaluation. The University conducts the final examinations.

The Dr.B.D.Patil krishiTantra Vidylaya possesses 12.83 hac. Out of which 15 acre is under buildings, Nursery & Orchard and 1.5 hac utilized under seed production and crop museum. It is a facility to produce quality material of Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers & Ornamentals, and Medicinal Plants & Agro-forestry. The Nursery approved & recognized by Gov. of Maharashtra Agriculture Department. The main purpose of the farm is to demonstrate the latest agricultural practices and seed multiplication of newly released varieties of this area. It also acts as a tool to do applied research on agricultural Technologies & undertake trials before their transfer to farmers. After a careful planning and analysis soil types, the farm was divided in to two major blocks of Horticulture and Agronomy. This was followed by planting mother plants of horticulture crops such as Mango, Sapota, Fig, coconut, citrus, Amla (Gooseberry) &Areca nut etc that are mainly grown in the district. Similarly, agronomical crops grown are Sugarcane, Bajra, maize and Fodder in Kharif and Wheat, Mustard, Gram and Green fodder in Rabi. The farm has pond for irrigation. The farm also has several farm implements museum and improved farm implements are available for demonstration purpose. This Institute has mother orchards of Mango, Sapota, Guava, Custard Apple,Amla, Lemon, Jamun and Areca nut with different varieties for propagation of quality planting material of fruit plant to distribute the farmers. Another Playhouse has established in 2016 for production of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.The Dr. B.D. Patil Agri Polytechnic has constructed greenhouses with fogger system which are naturally ventilated. They are meant for cultivation of Mango, Sapota& ornamentals grafting plants on 0.2 ha area. Shednet 10 gonta The Agri Polytechnic has one shade net & 5 Tunnel houses for nursery purpose.
A butterfly garden is established in 2020. It is situated in area of 1089.08 sqft created for butterflies at college campus. A butterfly garden has been set up for the study of the life cycle of insects & butterflies &Nakshtra garden has been set up for the information of medicinal plants.
